If resolution of a safety problem is not available at the departmental level, issues may be brought to the Health and Safety Committee.

  Our job on the committee is to:

  1. Evaluate accident investigation reports to determine if the cause of the unsafe act or condition was properly identified and corrected.
  2. Evaluate the UW accident/illness prevention programs (health and safety program) with a discussion of recommendations for improvement where indicated.
  3. Review safety and health inspection reports to assist in correction of identified unsafe conditions or practices.
