Brief Program Description The PhD program in Epidemiology includes a series of courses in epidemiologic methods and biostatistics, electives and an independent dissertation research project. It is intended to produce future academicians and researchers, highly qualified as independent investigators and teachers, and well-trained practitioners of epidemiology.

Preferred Credentials and Qualifications Verbal GREs in 600s, quantitative in high 600s or 700s, analytical writing approximately 5.0; goal statement demonstrating good understanding or Epidemiology and role of training in career; excellent references that speak to qualifications for training/career in epidemiology; As and Bs at undergrad level; mostly As at graduate level; 580 or higher TOEFL, if applicable.
