SPHCM Academic Affairs Handbook

The Academic Affairs Handbook (or Faculty Handbook) contains information on procedures related to faculty hiring, retention, and promotion procedures.

Revisions to Handbook

July 2008: Removed "courtesy appointment" terminology, corrected broken links

March 2008: Updated Appendix 3, Guidelines for Appointments and Promotions for UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine (SPHCM) Faculty Based at External Institutions.

January 2008: Minor update of Dean's Office job titles.

November 2007: Revised Request to Open Faculty Search form.

September 2007: More clean-up. Restored missing pieces of Appendix 2.

August 2007: Cleaned up broken links in the document.

July 2007: 2007-08 version released. New SPHCM Policy on Managing Non-Grant and Contract Effort by Grant-Funded Faculty. Handbook now released as single PDF.
